I have never been to a Zumba class I liked so much! I cannot wait to go back!

Shannon, people keep telling me how amazed they are that I got my husband to take a yoga class with me. Once I did get him to try a class he was hooked, because Jess is such a wonderful instructor. Thanks!

Shannon's fitness fusion classes have really helped me to attain the muscle tone/weight loss/health improvement I was looking for in the past year. I appreciate the focus on form and the well rounded and balanced elements of her class. In one packed hour, we do cardio, strength, and body resistance/stretching (elements of pilates/yoga) with proper warm ups and cool downs. The fact that she now operates in the Woodmoor shopping center and offers classes at different times 7 days a week only makes it easier to stick with Joy of F!

For my Silver Spring friends: check out this hidden treasure. I have just started the running program there and love the feel of community and togetherness. Shannon thank you so much for organizing the shoe fitting experience today!

I am not usually someone that likes group classes, but I LOVE Shannon's Fusion Fitness class! It's such a casual feel, no pressure, you can make it as easy or as strenuous of a workout as you want. I am a runner and find that this class perfectly compliments my fitness needs. There's some cardio, but my favorite is the strength training/resistance workout, it really helps improve my upper body and overall strength. The class always ends with some yoga which is perfect for stretching and strengthening your core. As a bonus, Shannon usually plays wonderful World music which always seems to put me in that perfect mood for a good workout! I can't say enough about this class... I highly recommend this class to all ages and to all fitness levels.

She handles particpants at all fitness levels with ease, changes her workouts frequently to keep everyone interested, and is wonderful with children. My two year old daughter is now happy to come to my workouts to hangout with "Miss Shannon."

I hate gyms and I am not really into fitness, but I have finally found something that works for me. Shannon hosts Buddy Training sessions for myself and several friends in our homes. We all bring a kid or two. While they have a play date the moms get their work out on. Shannon mixes it up, keeps us energized and laughing. She helps us keep the kids out of trouble while making sure we have correct form and break a serious sweat. As a working multitasking mom this is the only exercise routine I have been able to stick with and actually look forward to. I am loosing the baby weight and starting to feel good about my body again. Thanks Shannon you are the best!

Just wanted to brag a little bit about Shannon Stoughton's Joy of Fitness. She is a personal trainer who is innovative, forward-thinking, and challenging and FUN. She works with groups and individuals...She's great for WOMEN and LOVES women-only classes, but I've heard she works with men, too. Her goals are your goals - she is not so into weight-loss per-se, but helps with all aspects of fitness - toning, flex, stength, yoga, pilates, cardio, balance. You will never look at steps the same way. She's great!

I got so much out of this [running] class, you have no idea. Aside from the obvious health benefits and running an 8k for the first time, there was so much more. I think my husband (and I!!) learned that sometimes it's okay for me to be the priority. I got some much needed away time in a very beneficial extracurricular activity. My kids saw me commit to an exercise class and stick with it, and I learned a tremendous amount, such as running form, eating tips, drills, tips for staying hydrated, what to wear for what weather, and the list goes on. I'm sure I'll never like drills, but the hard work paid off! I love your coaching style, which definitely pushed me, but was not like a drill sergeant.
